Orienteering!

Talofa everybody! On Tuesday, the 21th of May, the seniors of Waikowhai primary school went to Orienteering at Blockhouse Bay Reserve. Orienteering is when you find the pegs by reading a map and to collect stamps on a piece of paper and find the finish line. They also time you and calculate it with other times that you raced with other schools. We went in different groups and went at different times to race. Some of us got different courses on our sheet. Our group came third or fourth place out of all the schools that raced against us.
It was long and fun race while trying to find the pegs.

After the long run, we gladly took a rest and drank a lot of water and had time to enjoy the playground. It was really fun that we got to keep the map and go there again. Some people got lost and at the end the leaders went to search for the lost students so that they know who won and lost. So
here are some photos. Thank you for looking at my blog post.

 Blog you later!
