SLJ - Activity 2

Welcome everybody, today Activity 2 is about two solo pilots that were the first women to fly a Airplane by themselves. The activity we had to do was compare and contrast both of the woman and what is similar about both of them. Jean Batten was the first New Zealander to fly a plane by herself and celebrated her heroic flights around the world in 1930. Amelia Earhart was the first American woman to fly over the Atlantic in a Airplane. Amelia died when she tried to fly around the world and was lost in the central of the Pacific ocean. Jean Batten died when she was bitten by a dog and after refusing treatment she died needlessly. Here is a picture and link of my compare and contrast.

Thank you for looking at my blog post and make sure to comment before you go. Bye!

  2. Mōrena Ruta, I hope you’re having a fantastic day so far!

Thank you for doing week one, day two, activity one! I really enjoyed reading it as I didn’t know much about Jean Batten or Amelia Earhart. Your post taught me a lot about both pilots. Ka pai on making an awesome venn diagram too - had you made one before doing this activity?

Do you think you’d like to fly a plane if you had the chance to?

Just a gentle reminder that anything you post online must be put into your own words and not copied from the internet :)

Thanks for posting and keep up the awesome mahi!
