My Lock-down Diary

 Talofa lava bloggers!
It is so nice to be back at school and today we are going to talk about my lock-down diary. First there is a story behind this and it was a very serious one. This happened because of a virus called Corona-virus which started in China. On the 24th of March our school was about to go in lock-down for about 5 or 4 weeks. Not just our school, but all of the schools in NZ were going in lock-down. Then on the 26th of March the whole of NZ went into lock-down for 4 and a half weeks. Now on the 29th of May we will stay int level 2 with a change that means we can have large gathering groups under 100.

We had 4 levels during this lock-down and on the 28th of April we were in level 3. That was our 2 week holiday and then moved on to school weeks. On the school weeks we had to meet on google meet just like a normal school, except it was at home. In my bubble I had my whole family with my Nana, Grandpa, Aunty, and Uncle. It was really boring because I had to do chores, do school work, dig up dirt, and also look after my sister. My Dad was an Essential worker who fixed things and my mum had to work at home night shift. Then the lock-down diary came and made my days happy. The lock-down diary was made by a guy named Stephen McCarthy. They had so many fun activities and on the school days were so fun. My two favourite activities on my lock-down diary was Dear future self and Movie night Review. They were so fun and I really liked it.

The school activities were so fun we could do Kahoots, Tumble slideshows, lock-down diary's and all kinds of fun stuff. I learned lots of things at home and shared what I learnt with my family. This lock-down diary was my writing task for the 5 school weeks. It was about home and lock-down and if I was to do another one I would LOVE too. That is what my lock-down diary was and I hope you enjoyed my blog post! Tofa!

Origami Wk 4 - 5

Talofa Everyone, Today and last week I made origami! It was so fun if you want to look at the photos you HAVE to read my blog post😉 Kidding but read the blog post. Origami is when you make something out of paper like a frog or a cat face. Origami includes lots of folding, but it depends if you are making it really big! My Origami is not that big, but I made four! I'm not actually really good at folding so when I first tried it was kind of good. I Improved though, today it was even better. Today I made a Cat face and a Origami pencil, so take a look:

Well they do look good, right? You can sat what you think in the comments.
Well lets move on, last last week I was meant to say I made a Dog face and a Animal
book mark! It was fun making an Animal book mark, now I can have a book mark and if it ever rips I can make another one. The Dog face was very easy, it was like seconds! Although it was minutes for me⏰ The Dog face was a face of a Dalmatian and it was all I could think of so I decorated it with spots everywhere! So here you can take a look:

Thank you for reading my blog, and don't forget to comment on my blog! If you want to make origami that click on this link down below the writing. Stay safe and keep strong! Bye!

Fun science!

Talofa lava bloggers!

Today me and my brother have been doing science experiments and we did two! It was really fun and cool to do it with my brother, Zion. Our two experiments were making an egg float and bouncing bubbles. They both worked, but it took a while for us to make the egg float. Here is the instructions of how to make an egg float:

what you need:

- salt
- water
- a cup
- an egg
- a table spoon

1. fill the cup with water

2. put 6 table spoons of salt

3. stir the salt until the water turns smokey

4. put the egg in

5. The egg floats!

So that was the first one and now for the most fun experiment, drum roll please...⏰
The bouncing BUBBLES! It took quite a while for us to get the bits and pieces, but we did
end up making bouncing bubbles! Here is the instructions for the bouncing bubbles and what you need:

What you need:

- a glove (which doesn't mean you get to use any type) that is made of polyester.
- dish liquid
- warm water
- a cup
- white sugar

1. put 1/8 of sugar in the cup

2. add 2 cups of warm water

3. add 1/8 of dish liquid

4. stir it until light green

5. put the glove on

6. get a bubble blower ( or whatever it is) put it in the liquid

7. blow it and bounce it on your glove!

Thanks for reading my blog post and if you want to get a video of it the click on these two links and it will teach your through. Tofa soifua(Goodbye)!
